LEAN TPM

Lean TPM is a program intended to bring the Lean Thinking and Total Productive Maintenance techniques and methodologies together for a common purpose: To eliminate losses in production processes.

To accomplish this, Lean TPM provides tools that change the way people think and act, thus encouraging them to be strict in eliminating even minute flaws instead of being tolerant of problems.

Supported by 5 Work Concepts (Discipline, Measurement, Focus, Simplicity, and Responsibility), and acting both on production and administrative processes, Lean TPM:

• Enhances the use of industrial assets;
• Cuts manufacturing costs;
• Creates a mind-set for continuous improvement;
• Reduces manufacturing and delivery times;
• Improves quality indicators.

A ZERO-oriented prevention philosophy (Zero stops, breaks, accidents, and defects), work in the local GEMBA, and everyone’s participation (including Operation and Maintenance) characterize the power of this program, which will provide great results in terms of a higher overall efficiency in production lines and equipment.
